🌟 Launch of Our Revamped Rewards and Recognition System

At Pembroke, A Priory Academy, we are proud to launch our newly redesigned Rewards and Recognition System, a key part of our commitment to celebrating student achievement and fostering a culture of excellence.

Following consultation with staff and students, the new system has been carefully structured to ensure it is inclusive, motivating, and aligned with our school ethos. It recognises not only academic success, but also the qualities we value most—wisdom, courage, generosity, curiosity, and passion.

🏆 A Three-Tiered Approach to Recognition

Our new system is built around three distinct tiers, each designed to celebrate different aspects of student achievement:

Tier

Description

Examples

Rewards for All

Frequent, inclusive acknowledgements for positive behaviour and engagement

Verbal praise, recognition postcards, attendance points, weekly reward prize draws, homework rewards

House Rewards

Achievements earned through our house system, promoting teamwork and school spirit

Learner of the Week, House Attendance Hero, subject competitions, House Flag

Bespoke Rewards

High-level recognitions for exceptional accomplishments and contributions

Prom invitations, reward trips, GCSE trophies, Head of House awards, Mock Results Day

📌 Visual Guide

To help students and families understand the new structure, we’ve created a visual representation of the system, which will be displayed around the school and shared during assemblies.

💬 Launch and Next Steps

The new system will officially launch on 20th October 2025, with assemblies and tutor time dedicated to introducing it to students. We encourage parents and carers to discuss the new structure with their children and celebrate their achievements as they progress through the term.

We believe this system will inspire every student to strive for their personal best and contribute positively to our school community.

Achieving together through consistently high standards and expectations—demonstrated through the values of wisdom, courage, generosity, curiosity and passion.
