Meet the Governors

Committee Members:

Members of The Priory Pembroke Academy Governing Committee come from a wide variety of different backgrounds.  Below you will find a short biography of each of our Governors.

Tracey Wood

I have been a parent Governor since 2003, firstly at Fiskerton Primary School, where my children attended.  I then became a parent Governor at Cherry Willingham Community School in 2010, when my eldest started at the school.  He has now moved on to University, but my youngest son is still attending.

I have seen many changes in my time as Governor at the school, not least being four different Head Teachers and the move from Foundation School to Academy.  I am excited about the future now that we have become part of the Priory Federation as The Priory Pembroke Academy.  This move secures the future of the school within the Community and will provide the students of Cherry Willingham and surrounding villages with first class education and I look forward to seeing the Academy develop.

I was elected as Vice Chair of Governors in autumn 2015, when I took on responsibility for Safeguarding, and was then elected as Chair of Governors in autumn 2016.  The Priory Federation have confirmed my appointment as Chair for the academic year 2017/18, and I now have responsibility for Leadership.

Coryn Bell

I worked in the education sector over several decades.  Starting as a classroom teacher which lead into being a Head of Department and included a couple of years being an Assistant Head of Year.  I also became an Advanced Skills Teacher which I thoroughly enjoyed as it gave me the opportunity to liaise with a range of schools.  I finished my career in education as a Deputy Head Teacher at The Priory Academy LSST.  I am looking forward to working with the students, staff and the wider community at The Pembroke Academy where I sincerely hope my considerable experience in education can be of value.

Clare Booth

I am delighted to have joined The Priory Pembroke Academy as a Governor.  I have served in governance before at primary school level, as a Parent Governor, leading onto becoming Chair of the Resources committee.  I am looking forward to being part of the growth and development of the Academy, and seeing what an exciting future it holds for everyone - pupils, staff and the wider community.  I work with an awarding body where the learning journey is paramount, through enjoyment, exploration, quality of provision and a safe learning environment.  These values are important to all.  It is a pleasure to be part of the Pembroke journey.

Lyndon Duarte

I was absolutely delighted to be asked to come on board as a governor in Sept 2018. Having past experience in Welfare & duty of Care, Safeguarding and OFSTED requirements, i am hoping to be able to assist the school in its future development and growth. I am extremely excited about the future and what it might hold, and in playing an active part i supporting the school, its pupils, parents and staff. I have 2 children currently in LSST, and i have watched them grow and flourish in the exceptional learning environment that The Priory Federation of Academies provides. I will now be working hard to ensure that the pupils at The Priory Pembroke Academy have the same opportunities and support during their school years. I truly believe that the possibilities are endless, if you only believe in yourself!
