Year 6 Taster Days

On Monday 7th and Tuesday 15th October we invited year 6 students into school to try out a day at Pembroke. In total we have had 130 year 6 students from a wide range of primary schools enjoy a day of lessons at our school. They have baked Dutch apple cake, sculpture clay coil pots, reads short stories, experimented in Science, acted in Drama, played new sports in PE, learned about the past in History and have been challenged in Maths. At the end of each day we have awarded prizes to those students who exhibited the priory values during the day. Year 9 helpers were the ones to observe the year 6 students and inform Miss Neal of who was exhibiting passion, generosity, wisdom, curiosity and courage throughout the day. Certificates, books and Pembroke stationery were the prizes and every student left smiling. We hope to see some of you in year 7 next September. Best wishes where ever you go!
