Pembroke Press - Edition 12

April 2022 Edition 12 March 2022 saw the exciting launch of Priory Pembroke Academy’s new Pupil Leadership Team. But what actually is a Pupil Leadership Team (PLT)? The Pupil Leadership Team is made up of a group of stu- dents whose purpose is to come together to discuss ideas and issues, with the aim to always try to make improve- ments to our school. The Pupil Leadership Team is made up of Form Representatives (who were voted for) from each year group and, of course, our Pembroke Knights. The Pupil Leadership Team has been formed to ensure that the voice and views of the students are heard, shared, and used for the good of our school. We recently held our first meeting, which was very exciting, especially as snacks were provided (a huge bonus!) It was a great opportunity to get to know one another, as for many of us, it was the first time we had properly spent time together as a group. As a team of pupils across the year groups in Pembroke, and some staff, we are looking forward to being able to take on board the thoughts and opinions of the students and use these to continue to de- velop and shape our wonderful school. Alongside the school values that we all share, the Pupil Leadership Team is there to help the whole school ‘Achieve Together.’ Make sure to keep your eyes peeled around the school and in the Pembroke Press to hear more about what we are up to, what we are going to get involved with and how we will continue to work on behalf of our fellow pupils.
