Skipping for Sport Relief

During Sport Relief week the PE department have had each class skipping as a warm up. This has been working up to a whole school skip during our assembly this morning. Students skipped furiously in pairs, counting skips done in 30 seconds and totally up their numbers as a form. All students did 7651 skips in a minute in total—not quite the billion steps theme that Sport Relief had advertised but it was near the 10,000 steps we should do each day. Coincidentally this whole school activity fell on National Skipping Day. It was great fun and the best way to start the day—active, laughing and out in the fresh air.
